Trina Hester Trina Hester
Assistant General Manager of Development

Trina Hester oversees all major giving initiatives and charts the direction of the development department. She serves on the KPBS management council and is responsible for major gifts, planned giving, and the KPBS Producers Club ? the station's annual giving program with 900 members giving $1,200 or more.

Trina joined the KPBS staff in 2009 and has been a volunteer reader for the KPBS Radio Reading Service since 2004. Prior to KPBS, she worked in major gifts and development for San Diego State University, College of Arts and Letters. Trina has lived in San Diego for 24 years, and has three grown children and four grandchildren. She enjoys the outdoors, hiking, swimming at the beach, bicycling, travel, movies and museums.


Alex Kim Alex Kim
Director of Development

Alex Kim has a diverse background in philanthropy and nonprofit leadership experience. As development director, he manages relationships with major donors and planned giving donors to secure major funding for KPBS' core projects and operations.

Prior to KPBS, Alex served as Director of Philanthropy at Rady Children's Hospital and as a development officer for the College of Arts & Letters at San Diego State University. He has also served as Development Associate for Social Advocates for Youth (SAY) San Diego.

Alex received his undergraduate degree in marketing from San Diego State University and his masters degree in nonprofit leadership and management from the University of San Diego.

Alex is passionate about KPBS and works closely with its staff, members, and partners to advance the station's mission. In his free time, he enjoys playing basketball, CrossFit, taking in the local craft beer scene, and watching Masterpiece Theatre.


Jennifer Majors Jennifer Majors
Legacy & Annual Gifts Manager

Jennifer Majors manages legacy and annual giving as part of the development department at KPBS. She is responsible for the marketing and development of the KPBS Friends for Life legacy giving program and for the stewardship of the KPBS Producers Club, including planning bi-monthly events.

Jennifer joined the KPBS staff in 2010 as a Development Coordinator. Prior to joining KPBS, she worked in the College of Arts and Letters Development Office at San Diego State University and at California State University Fullerton in the Pollak Library. Jennifer received her degree in psychology from SDSU in 2003.

Jennifer enjoys spending time with her husband Dan and their dog Parker. Her hobbies include running, shopping, and finding recipes, crafts, and DIY projects on Pinterest.
